This is a table created by Adam Maxfield that measures the different key statistics for the real estate and homes sales in Matanuska Susitna Alaska.

Unemployment Rates

The unemployment rate is a great market indicator for the future market. As long as employment numbers are strong, mortgages will be paid and manufactured items will be purchased. Unemployment rates can greatly affect how many homes sale in the Mat-Su Valley.

Adam's Insight: The war has not changed our stable labor market. 4.3% unemployment is a healthy rate for a stable growing country. Historically the #FED has not changed the interest rate with a stable unemployment rate.

Adam's Insight: Alaska has not provided the data on for March or April yet. Alaska's unemployment numbers are always a little higher than the countries due to the native population and off grid living. Currently, there are plenty of jobs and the number of opportunities is growing everyday. The military is increasing the base by 10,000 and for every soldier on base there are 4 civilian jobs for that one position.

Adam's Insight: The 30 year interest rates are dancing a little 2 step, a few little steps forward with a huge step back. The interest rate for the beginning of April has almost increased by a half percent. This increase still is not enough to negatively effect home sales,

Adam's Insight: As expected and predicted, April had another increase in homes sold. New homes listed has also increased by 100 so May and June will increase even more. Currently the inventory is low, but soon buyers will have many options.
